Thanksgiving Talking Turkey Puppet
This fun Thanksgiving craft turns into a talking turkey puppet that opens and closes its mouth as kids pull the paper strips. Great for storytelling, dramatic play and fine-motor practice!

- Cut out all the pieces. Be sure to cut along the dotted slits on the turkey body, these will hold the moving strips.
- Insert each long strip through the slits on the sides of the mouth. Pull them through until they slide smoothly. These strips will allow the mouth to open and close.
- Glue the legs to the bottom of the turkey body.
- Glue the red wattle next to the beak.
- You’re done! Hold the puppet body with one hand and gently pull the strips with the other. The turkey’s mouth will move. It can talk, sing, laugh or gobble!
