Seven years ago, we were making games. We were also raising kids. We couldn’t find screen time we felt good about - so we built it.
Like many parents, what we found instead was a gap. The content that was safe felt achingly dull: old-fashioned, joyless, the kind of thing children abandon after five minutes. And the content that was genuinely engaging? Too often, it wasn’t something we wanted near our kids.
We’d spent years making games. We knew how to make something genuinely fun; what we didn’t know was what belongs in a child’s day. So we called in educators, sat down with developmental psychologists, and asked one question: what does genuinely good early learning actually look like? Then we combined what they knew with what we knew - and built it.
Seven years later, more than 5 million families around the world call it theirs. We're still learning how to make it better - which feels about right, for a learning company.
