About Tiny Minies
The Basics
What is Tiny Minies?
Tiny Minies is a learning world for children ages 2-6. The app kids love and parents trust.
It is a safe world where every wagon holds a new adventure: games, books, songs, pretend play, kids yoga, guided meditation, sleep music and printable worksheets - more than 2,000 activities in all.
Every activity is designed with child development experts and built around six areas of early development, from language and early math to social-emotional skills. No third-party ads, COPPA compliant, and it even works offline - screen time you'll feel good about.
What ages is Tiny Minies for?
Tiny Minies is designed for children ages 2 to 6. Activities span a range of difficulty, so younger children can explore freely while older ones find plenty to grow into.
What languages is Tiny Minies available in?
Tiny Minies is currently available in five languages: English, Turkish, Mexican Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and Arabic - and new languages are on the way.
Your child can learn in the language you choose, and you can switch anytime in the Parents Area.
Learning & Method
How does Tiny Minies teach?
Through play - the way young children learn best. Every game, song and story is mapped to one of six developmental domains, so playtime always supports a real skill: language, cognitive growth, motor skills, social-emotional development, creativity and daily life skills.
Our full curriculum approach, and how it aligns with methods like Montessori and STEAM, lives on our approach pages.
Are learning apps effective for young children?
They can be - when they're active rather than passive. Research consistently shows that young children learn from digital experiences that invite them to participate, respond, and create, especially when a caregiver joins in.
That's why Tiny Minies is built around doing, not just watching: kids sort, match, sing, trace and solve. And printables carry the learning off the screen.
Screen Time
How much screen time is healthy?
Every family sets its own rhythm - but you don't have to figure it out alone. Tiny Minies comes with built-in daily limits, recommended by age:
- 2 years and under: 0 minutes
- 3 years: 20 minutes
- 4 years: 30 minutes
- 5 years: 45 minutes
- 6 years: 60 minutes
- 7 years and above: 75 minutes
These cover all screens - TV, tablet, and phone combined; which is why they may look lower than numbers you've seen elsewhere. When your child's daily time is up, the app gently locks until tomorrow.
And Tiny Minies is designed to make that time count - and to end well. No streaks, no daily rewards to chase, nothing designed to pull your child back for more.
How do I set screen time limits in Tiny Minies?
You already did! When you created your child's profile, we suggested a daily limit based on their age group. The app locks automatically when time is up, no negotiating required.
Want to adjust it? It takes four taps:
- Open the Parents Area
- Go to Profiles
- Select your child and tap Edit Profile
- Choose a new limit under Screen Time Limit: 10, 20, 30, 45, 60, or 75 minutes
Each child's limit is set separately, so siblings can have their own rhythm.
Safety & Privacy
Is Tiny Minies safe for my child?
Yes! Safety is a design principle, not a feature. Tiny Minies has no ads, no external links your child can reach, and no chat with strangers. Anything that leaves the kids' area sits behind a parent gate.
And because we don't use streaks or manipulative reward loops, the app is built to be put down as happily as it's picked up.
How is my child's data protected?
We collect as little as possible and protect what we do collect. We never sell personal data, and we comply with children's privacy regulations including COPPA and GDPR-K.
The full details are in our Privacy Policy, written to be actually readable.
How do I request data removal?
