Ingredients for Flower Cookies


  • 250 grams of room-temperature butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1.5 cups of powdered sugar
  • 1.5 cups of cornstarch
  • 1 packet of vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
  • About 3–3.5 cups of flour


How to Make Them


  • In a mixing bowl, combine 250 grams of room-temperature butter, 1 egg, 1.5 cups of powdered sugar, 1.5 cups of cornstarch, 1 packet of vanilla, and 1 teaspoon of baking powder. Knead well.
  • Gradually add about 3–3.5 cups of flour and knead until you get a soft dough.
  • Divide the dough into two equal parts.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of cocoa to one part and knead again.
  • Take hazelnut-sized pieces from both the plain and cocoa doughs and roll them into balls.
  • Shape them into flowers.
  • Use a toothpick to make small lines on them.
  • Place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for about 15 minutes.
